As we all know, Diabetes is one of the most widespread diseases of the moment, a metabolism disorder that has grown to reflect some of the deepest vices of modern lifestyle. Type two diabetes, which accounts for the vast majority (about 90%) of all diabetes cases, is closely linked with obesity and physical inactivity.Considering these circumstances, it’s not surprising that diabetes is a primary target for widespread global research into whether a change of lifestyle can actually delay or even prevent its development. A recent such study took place in China and showed that a sensible diet and regular exercise reduced the incidence of diabetes by an impressive 43% over 20 years in the 577 adults who participated in the research. The study has shown that group-based interventions targeting lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise produce a durable and long-lasting reduction in incidence of type 2 diabetes.
