Many people loved to grow their own vegetable at home and eat it as fresh as it could be. However, vegetable garden need some care and attention before you can fully benefit from it.Daily watering is necessary, except when it's raining. The soil should be damp, not drenched. Grasses and weeds should be picked out as soon as possible.
Monthly fertilization using a complete fertilizer is also necessary for more harvest. Apply the fertilizer around your plants; avoid direct contact with the leaves, stem and roots.
Pests are always an issue when it comes to growing vegetables. You can use commercial insecticides to ward off the pests. Or you can plant aromatic flowers around the vegetable plots. These are more enticing to bugs, so they end up going the flowers instead of your crop. Other bug fighters are chili peppers and Neem tree. Gather the Neem tree leaves, and soak them in a water filled drum. Use the solution as spray.
